Inquiry Time - Nurture and Grow

Today we began our Inquiry about nurturing plants to help them grow.  The children worked in groups to sort pictures into three types - Plants, Non-plants and Unsure.  It was great to see the children discussing their ideas together and working together to decide where to put the pictures.

Grandparents' Day

What an incredibly special day we had today at St Albans School. Many of the children's grandparents, aunts, mums, dads and special friends came to share a morning of craft and dancing, topped off by a delicious shared morning tea. Suffice to say, Grandparents' Day is always one of the teachers' favourite events and this year's was definitely one of the best. Even the cold weather couldn't put a dampener on the wonderful feeling of aroha and community our morning together created. Thank you to all those who came along and contributed to a very memorable day for us all.

Discovery Week 8
